Yesterday, my sister and I went to Target to pick up a few things that we needed. As I walked past the cash registers and down the aisle, something caught my eye. A kiosk filled with “Frozen” the movie. I had completely forgotten that it came out yesterday and I was stoked. I ran over to the kiosk and picked up a dvd. A few seconds after I gasped and ran over, I hear another gasp and footsteps. I turn my head back to see a little girl around the age of five or six. She has brunette hair that ended in soft little curls and her big brown eyes made it seem like she had just found a pot of gold. She looked back at her mother to get the okay if she could pick up a dvd or not. Her mother smiled at her excited little daughter and assured her that her sister would come home soon with the dvd she had gotten for her. The young girl let out a huff and walked away with her mother, looking back every now and again at the dvds. I knew she wanted to hold the movie in her hands, but she had to wait just a little longer.
The reaction the daughter had when she saw the dvds made me smile and I loved that we both reacted the same way when we saw one of our favorite movies in the store. “Frozen” is one of the best movies I have seen in a while (I still really like “Tangled” though, don’t get me wrong) and I haven’t cried in an animated movie that much since “Up” and that was a real tear jerker. If you have not seen “Frozen,” I would encourage you right now just to go ahead and buy it. It is worth the money to own it.
Moments and movies like these are what I long for.
