Today is a very special day. I was going through my tumblr feed and found the trailer to “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and I thought I was going to be knocked out of my chair. I immediately watched it and I felt like the trailer wasn’t enough. I need to watch the movie NOW!
For those of you who don’t know, I love Marvel movies. I actually love movies in general, but Marvel is definitely among my favorites. And now having two new Marvel trailers within the past month, I am happier than usual. The first movie trailer this month was “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” If you haven’t seen the trailer, go see it! I will put the link below:
Now, onto “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” The title itself may confuse you, but it’s simple. What I can tell from the trailer, is that in the present, Magneto and Professor X want to send Wolverine’s present self into his past self. Meaning they want to basically send his present mind into his past body to the time where we last saw Charles and Erik (from “X-Men: First Class”). Present Magneto and Professor X want to change their minds from their past self so that they can form a unity against their future enemy (or atleast that is what I am assuming).
In the trailer, we see a bunch of old faces and new ones. We see in the trailer that Wolverine will be back as well as Storm, young Magneto, old Magneto, young Charles Xavier, old Charles Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence’s performance of Mystique, Kitty Pride, Nicholas Hoult’s performance of Beast, Rogue, Iceman, Havok, and Colossus. Among the new faces we see Warpath, Bishop, Blink, Sunspot, Quicksilver, Bolivar Trask, and a young William Stryker. If you remember from “X2” William Stryker was the one who gave Wolverine the Adamantium claws (Captain America’s shield is also made up of Adamantium).
If you haven’t seen the trailer, I will link it below. I suggest you watch it. The overall story and trailer is composed beautifully. I have a feeling this will be another great movie in Marvel’s arsenal.
