Star Wars and Shakespeare

If there are two things I love in this world, it would probably be Star Wars and Shakespeare. I loved Star Wars since I was the wee age of four or five and it was also one of the first movies that made me want to become an actress. Since then, I have probably watch the movies countless times.

And then there’s Shakespeare. I never got full appreciation of Shakespeare until I watched “Hamlet.” The Kenneth Branagh rendition that is word for word from the play (I would suggest watching this one instead of Mel Gibson. Gibson doesn’t really do it justice). Ever since then, I love reading Shakespeare’s plays and acting in them. Honestly, if you haven’t acted in a Shakespeare play, you need to. It will open your mind to the art of the theatre.

So, for my birthday present, I had gotten Star Wars in Shakespearean format. That’s right, you heard me. Star Wars in the form of a Shakespeare play.

The third book hasn’t come out yet, so I just got these two. And the last point to sell you all to getting these books, the most famous line:

“…And ever shall the force remain with thee.” -Act V, Scene 5 Line 328

Most Sincerely,

Jessica
